63% of Engaged Couples Have Now Postponed Their Weddings

If you were planning on having a big wedding this year . . . yeah, that’s gonna be pretty tough.

According to a new survey, 63% of engaged couples say they’ve now postponed their wedding because of the pandemic.  8% of couples are still getting married on schedule, but they’ve canceled their big wedding plans and will just go to the courthouse.

22% of couples say they’re still sticking with their original wedding plans.

Couples who’ve changed their plans because of coronavirus have lost an average of $3,300 from non-refundable deposits, fees, and other costs.

And of the group that’s postponed their wedding, more than one in three have already picked a new date.  Some are going to try for this summer or winter . . . but the most popular dates are after March of next year.
