A quarter of American adults say they live in fear of being attacked in their own neighborhoods.

A new poll by NPR claims Americans of color were more likely than white Americans to say they feared being threatened or physically attacked.

The poll also found that a quarter of Black respondents, 26 percent of Latinos, 36 percent of Native Americans, 21 percent of Asian adults, and 19 percent of white adults say they have been afraid of violence in their own neighborhoods.
