AI System Can Detect COVID-19 Based On The Sound Of Your Cough

Scientists at MIT have developed a system that can detect COVID-19 based on the sound of your cough. The artificial intelligence algorithm can detect subtle differences in the sound and vibrations of a cough, caused by muscle impairment caused by the virus – even in people that are asymptomatic. Researchers say the AI system is 98.5% accurate in identifying positive cases.  The team is hoping to incorporate the system into an app before seeking FDA approval.
