After initially remaining silent, drummer Alex Van Halen has spoken out on the passing of his brother and bandmate Eddie Van Halen. The oldest Van Halen brother sent a childhood photo of himself and Eddie, posing on a wooden horse with a toy drum in front of them, to the Van Halen News Desk website. In a note accompanying the pic, Alex wrote, “Hey Ed. Love you. See you on the other side. Your brother, Al.” Eddie died Tuesday after a lengthy battle with throat cancer. He was 65 years old.
