Americans Expected To Shell Out $17.3B On Super Bowl 🏈
Super Bowl fever has descended on the United States – and Americans are expected to spend more than ever before on the big game. Spending on food, drinks, clothing, swag and party decorations is expected to reach $17.3 billion, according to the National Retail Federation.
That’s about $1 billion more than people spent last year. Broken down, it comes out to about $86 more per person.
What’s more is that figure doesn’t include all the money the host city will be making. The Chiefs-49ers game is projected to pump about $500 million into the Las Vegas economy, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce reports. That includes $215 million that will be spent by the 150,000 visitors who will be in town for the big game, per the Chamber.
