Cars Line Up To Show Support For A Northern Iowa Family

In Iowa these days it seems that a courtesy wave as you pass by someone is the only thing that seems normal in these tough times.  Especially while we all practice social distancing and do our best to stay 6 feet away from each other.  But in this northern Iowa town people from all over the area took it one step further.

A family from Buffalo Center has a member who has the Coronavirus.  The community came together to show support for the family of the person who is receiving care for the virus in the Twin Cities.

A facebook event started the idea and people from all over the area wanted to show their support.  Residents were encouraged to drive by the families house at 8 PM last night and wave and show support! The patient being treated with COVID-19 was a 2013 graduate of North Iowa High School. According to the North Iowa Community School District facebook page over 250 people showed support for the victim’s family last night! The family stood outside their house waving as each car drove by!  Pretty amazing show of support and truly reinforces the fact that we are all in this together!
