‘Cruel Summer’ Returning for Season 2

Cruel Summer is coming back to Freeform for a second season.

News of the renewal comes just as the first season finale is set to air. If you look at the numbers it was a foregone conclusion that the series would be back. Right now, the series is the most-watched series ever with an average of 6.8 million viewers across multiple platforms.

In Cruel Summer a popular girl goes missing and after a wannabe popular girl is blamed we see different views of her disappearance over the course of three summers.
