Despite Heavy Traffic, Flight Cancellations Continue

This weekend has been one of the busiest travel weekends of the year – but that hasn’t stopped airlines from cancelling flights.
More than 600 Sunday flights have been cancelled – bringing the weekend total up to more than 2,700.
It doesn’t stop this weekend – major airlines have pre-emptively cancelled more than 20,000 flights between now and Labor Day.
A shortage of pilots and other airline workers is the primary reason for cancellations, officials say.
