Do People Who Got The Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Need A Booster Shot?
This week, the FDA and CDC officially recommended a third booster shot for Americans who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
But what about those who got the one-dose Johnson & Johnson shot? Do they need a booster?
For the moment, the answer is “probably, but not yet”.
Health officials say they’re still in the process of collecting data to determine when a second booster shot will be needed. More info is expected in the coming weeks.
Booster shots for Pfizer and Moderna recipients will be available starting Sept. 20th, to be taken eight months after the second dose.
People in the U.S. who received the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna Covid vaccines should get a booster shot eight months after their second dose, officials said.
But what about people who got the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine? Here’s what to know.https://t.co/EQuW5Yqa4B
