Dog Food Is Being Recalled Over A Possible Salmonella And Listeria Risk For Dogs And Humans

A recall of dog food has been issued by the FDA due to a possible salmonella and listeria outbreak found at Bravo Packing, Inc. in Carneys Point, New Jersey.

The recall affects Bravo Packing’s ground beef and Performance Dog raw pet food. A routine inspection found both salmonella and listeria within the food.

If consumed by pets they could suffer lethargy, diarrhea, bloody stools, fever, or vomiting. Other symptoms of salmonella include decreased appetite, fever, or abdominal pain and pets can be infected and not show any signs.

Humans can also be infected by handling the food and not washing their hands or surfaces where the pet food was handled. If you have any of the recalled products from Bravo Packing throw them away.
