Dr Fauci Says Not To Worry About Santa Claus Spreading COVID-19 This Holiday Season

While the holiday season will likely look a lot different this year, and many of us won’t be seeing our extended family, kids can still count on a visit from Jolly Ol’ St. Nick. According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, America’s leading infectious disease expert, Santa Claus has an “innate immunity” when it comes to the coronavirus. “Santa is not going to be spreading infections to anybody,” Fauci told USA TODAY this week. And while Kris Kringle can’t pass COVID-19 on to us, people can still spread it to each other when lining up to sit on his lap, so many malls will have safety protocols in place for a socially distanced photo session.
