The Mason City Jaycees are partnering with the Main Event (2nd St. SE, Mason City) to host 4 bean bag tournaments from January – April 2019. These tournaments will serve as a community event to give locals a fun, affordable night out during the winter season with proceeds to benefit the Glady Mae Animal Sanctuary. Free will donations to the sanctuary and collection of pet food and supplies will also be accepted.

Cost: $20 per team. Prizes given to 1st – 3rd placed teams. Registration from 6:30-7 pm.
The Glady Mae Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer led charity, whose mission is to provide a safe and temporary home for the pets of domestic abuse and disaster survivors in addition to a permanent home for cats and dogs at risk of euthanasia. The Jaycees and the Glady Mae Animal Sanctuary have previously partnered on three occasions for cleanup days to help prepare for future improvements to the sanctuary’s property. The sanctuary plans to accept more dogs and cats as funds become available and further improvements are made to the property.
The Mason City Junior Chamber (more commonly Jaycees) is a 501(c)4 leadership training and civic organization for young people between the ages of 21 and 40. Through community and leadership development projects, the Jaycees are helping to build a better Mason City by getting young people actively involved in the community.
