Florida Couple Arrested after getting into Food Fight with Spaghetti
A Florida couple is behind bars after they became involved in a violent domestic altercation in which they used spaghetti as a weapon, police say.
Clearwater residents Alolfo Rivera, 35, and Stephanie Lannas, 45, got into a spat while eating dinner Monday night, according to authorities. It escalated to the point where each shoved their plates of pasta into the other’s face, their arrest report reveals. Officers say they found Rivera and Lannas, who were intoxicated, covered in spaghetti and sauce when they arrived at the scene.
The spaghetti scuffle didn’t mark the first time police were called to intervene in a fight involving the couple. Pinellas County Court records reveal Lannas was arrested in October of last year after she stabbed Rivera in the arm during another alcohol-fueled dispute.
