GE Recalls 155K Refrigerators
It turns out that opening your refrigerator could result in more harm than just causing you to gain weight.
General Electric is recalling more than 155,000 refrigerators after receiving 71 reports of door handles detaching when users try to open the freezer. At least 37 people have suffered injuries so far, the company reveals.
The recalled fridges were sold between February 2020 and January 2022 at Best Buy, Home Depot and Lowe’s, GE officials say.
The models in question sold for $1,900 to $2,500, the company reports. To learn more about the recall, visit geappliances.com.
