German Shop Offers Cricket-Flavored Ice Cream – With Real Crickets On Top 🦗

An ice cream parlor in Germany has added a new flavor to its menu: cricket-flavored ice cream.
The bizarre treat, sold by Thomas Micolino’s shop in Rottenburg am Neckar, comes with dried brown crickets sprinkled on top. “I am a very curious person and want to try everything,” says Micolino, who in the past has sold such unusual flavors as liver sausage and Gorgonzola cheese. “I’ve eaten a lot of things, including a lot of strange things, and crickets were something I still wanted to try, also in the form of ice cream.”
Surprisingly, customers are chirping the praises of the new flavor, with one says, “It’s really tasty and edible.” Another agrees, but adds, “You can still sense the cricket in the ice cream.”
