Hangover Anxiety Is A Real Thing, Claims TikToker

Have you ever felt super anxious while hungover?

Well according to a TikToker named Sophie, “hangxiety” is real thing and she explains why in her latest video.

Sophie stated “When you drink, chemicals in your brain are affected, namely glutamate and GABA (Gamma aminobutyric acid). The glutamate makes it more active, and GABA makes it less active. The morning after your brain tries to rebalance it becomes super sensitive to glutamate, which makes it hyperactive and you anxious, while becoming less sensitive to GABA, which would normally step in to chill you out”.

Pretty much the chemicals are flip flopped.  One user commented “Ohhh so that’s why I say I’m never drinking again the next day”.
