The Social Security Administration just released its annual data on the most popular baby names of the year.

For 2019, the most popular name for boys was Liam, the same as 2018.  The most popular name for girls was Olivia, which was number two in 2018.  Emma was number one in 2018 . . . it was number two last year.

The 10 most popular boys names in 2019 were:  Liam . . . Noah . . . Oliver . . . William . . . Elijah . . . James . . . Benjamin . . . Lucas . . . Mason . . . and Ethan.

The 10 most popular girls names in 2019 were:  Olivia . . . Emma . . . Ava . . . Sophia . . . Isabella . . . Charlotte . . . Amelia . . . Mia . . . Harper . . . and Evelyn.
