Here are the Top-Ranked Diets to Try in 2021

If you spent a big chunk of 2020 stress-eating on your couch . . . so did everyone.

Almost 70% of Americans say they’re in worse shape now than they were a year ago.  So exercise and eating healthy are even bigger resolutions this year.

“U.S. News & World Report” just put out its annual list of the best diets for weight loss and overall health.  They also factor in how easy each diet is to stick to.  Here’s what they say . . .

1.  The Mediterranean Diet is the best overall.  It includes a lot of fish, nuts, fruits, and vegetables.  But you also get to drink wine, so that’s a plus.  The DASH Diet and the Flexitarian Diet tied for second.

2.  If you just want to lose weight and keep it off, the Flexitarian Diet tied Weight Watchers for first.  Flexitarian means mostly vegetarian.  But some meat is okay.

3.  If you want to drop weight FAST, check out the HMR Diet.  It involves having food boxes delivered, so it’s not the cheapest.  Weight Watchers and the Atkins Diet tied for second.  (HMR stands for “Health Management Resources.”)

4.  And the three EASIEST diets to stick to are the Mediterranean Diet . . . Weight Watchers . . . and the Flexitarian Diet.  So Mediterranean ranked as the easiest AND best overall.
