“Judge Judy” to End After 25 Seasons
Judge Judy Sheindlin dropped a bombshell on Monday’s episode of Ellen: Her courtroom series, Judge Judy, will end after its 25th season airs in 2021.
“I’ve had a 25-year-long marriage with CBS and it’s been successful,” Sheindlin, sporting a new pony tail, told Ellen DeGeneres. “Next year will be our 25th season, silver anniversary, and CBS, I think felt they wanted to optimally utilize the repeats of my program, because now they have 25 years of reruns.”
But Sheindlin won’t be retiring her gavel for good, as she says she’s got a new series, Judy Justice, planned–although she didn’t say where the show will air in 2022.
