Maryland Candy Shop Is Dipping Cicadas In Chocolate
Cicadas are back!
According to scientists, the bugs haven’t been on the East coast in 17 years. A candy shop in Maryland has decided to capitalize on the un-welcomed visitor by serving them up as a chocolatey treat.
The shop, Chouquette Chocolates, said they’re delicious and that “it’s really like a chocolate covered potato chip”. The owner of the shop said that the bugs are cleaned, then they air fry them, then they are dipped in chocolate.
First, they’re cleaned and cooked up in an air fryer, of course. https://t.co/wutABYxkmB
