More “Good News” Stories from the Coronavirus Outbreak – Monday Edition

Here are a few more good news stories from the outbreak . . .

1.  A couple in Italy met in March when they started talking from their balconies that face each other.  And they live in Verona, so people started calling them the real-life Romeo and Juliet.  It looks like this couple will have a better ending though . . . because they just got engaged.

2.  Nextdoor and H&R Block are teaming up to launch 10 projects around the country to help reduce social isolation.  Most of them have to do with renovating and repurposing outdoor spaces.

3.  Have your kids caught you feeling stressed out during the pandemic?  Well, don’t worry too much about showing those emotions.  A new study found that suppressing them all might do more harm than good when it comes to raising well-adjusted kids.

4.  A guy named David Stevens just retired from his job as the CEO of an insurance company in the U.K.  And to help out employees, he’s giving out close to $13 million in bonuses on his way out.  Every full-time employee gets 1,000 pounds, or about $1,300.  And part-timers will get about $650.
