More “Good News” Stories from the Coronavirus Outbreak – Monday Edition
Here are a few more good news stories from the outbreak . . .
1. We’ve been waiting for this day for a long time: All 50 states are expected to get their first round of vaccine shipments today. And some people could even get their first round of shots.
The FDA granted emergency authorization on Friday, and the CDC approved it too. In most cases, healthcare workers and people who are high-risk will get it first. So a lot of us might have to wait a few more months. But it’s finally happening.
2. Someone in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania left a bartender a $500 tip right before new lockdown restrictions hit this weekend. And a bartender in Missouri got a $1,000 tip.
3. We see these stories every year but never get sick of them: An anonymous Secret Santa paid off $65,000 worth of layaway items at a Walmart in Tennessee last week.
4. For the second year in a row, a guy in Florida paid off the overdue utility bills for 114 families. He says he knew it was even more important this year, so he dug deeper. He spent $4,600 in 2019 . . . and upped it to $7,600 this time.
