More “Good News” Stories from the Coronavirus Outbreak – Tuesday Edition
Here are a few more good news stories from the outbreak . . .
1. The largest vaccine study in the world is under way. 30,000 volunteers started getting shots yesterday. Half of them will get the vaccine, and half won’t. Then researchers will track who gets the virus and who doesn’t.
2. Here’s a good reminder that things WILL eventually get back to normal again. The number of people flying in China is now at 80% of what it was pre-COVID.
3. Afghanistan doesn’t have enough ventilators. So an all-girl robotics team at a high school there came up with a new one that’s cheap and easy to make. A normal ventilator can cost $20,000. The one they made costs about $700.
4. A study found that trained dogs can smell the virus, and predict if someone has it with 94% accuracy.
