North Iowa Mutual Aid Launches Shovel Squad Program

Shovel Squad volunteers will help neighbors clear snow
Mason City, Iowa — North Iowa Mutual Aid announces the launch of their new Shovel Squad program. This program is set up to pair residents with Shovel Squad volunteers who will help with snow removal.
The program is intended to benefit residents who are not physically able to remove snow and do not have other resources to remove snow, such as neighbors, friends or family, or a hired service. Community members can sign up to volunteer or request assistance with snow removal on North Iowa Mutual Aid’s website: https://linktr.ee/northiowamutualaid. This is a volunteer
program with limited capacity.
About North Iowa Mutual Aid
North Iowa Mutual Aid is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization that was formed to unite the North Iowa community and help meet each other’s needs. Current projects include setting up community fridges and community pantries, collecting and distributing period products, and gathering donated, excess food from food service providers and giving it to hungry people. Their next project, Socktober, will kick off on October 1st. Socktober will be a sock, winter hat, winter glove, and scarf drive that will run through the winter.
