Only half? Some Americans Report Receiving Half Of The Latest Stimulus Check

A facebook group titled “half stimulus missing” is growing with members from all over the country who are sharing frustrating stories. Some Americans only received half of the money they were told they were getting in the latest stimulus payment.

But a Facebook group titled “Half Stimulus Missing” is growing with members from all over the country who tell similarly frustrating stories. They received full amounts the first two stimulus payments and only half the amount promised this time.

A spokesperson for the IRS says people who believe they were shorted payments in the latest stimulus package should should report the matter by looking at instructions on line 30 of their 1040 form.

Fill out the worksheet attached to that (line 30) and if you were eligible, then you should fill out that line, and the IRS will give you the amount you are owed in the form of a refund
