President Biden Tests Positive for Covid-19

President Joe Biden tested positive for Covid-19, his office said on Thursday.

According to a statement from press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, 79-year-old Biden is experiencing “very mild symptoms.” Biden is taking Paxlovid while recovering.

Jean-Pierre said that Biden “continues to carry out the full duties of the office while in isolation” and that anyone who has interacted with the President will be notified.

Biden was in Massachusetts on Wednesday to discuss climate change and hosted Ukrainian first lady Olena Zelenska at the White House on Tuesday.

Biden is fully vaccinated with two booster shots.
