Report: White House To Extend Student Loan Moratorium Through August
The White House is once again extending the moratorium on student loan payments.
According to reports, the Biden administration will announce Wednesday that student loan payments would remain ‘paused’ through the end of August.
Student loan payments were suspended in March 2020 at the start of the pandemic. The decision will affect more than 40 million Americans.
“President Biden’s perpetual student loan payment moratorium is an insult to every American who responsibly paid debts,” said Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.). https://t.co/pXYgavcaha
