A strong cold front will be moving across Iowa this evening. Just ahead of the front, showers and thunderstorms will form in the early evening hours and track east overnight. Some severe weather is likely with damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes possible as the line move east toward Central Iowa around midnight. Lingering strong storms in the east may produce some strong wind gusts or perhaps an isolated tornado. Please monitor later forecasts for possible watches and warnings this evening and overnight.
