Study: 20 Million Lives Were Saved By COVID Vaccines

Vaccines may not have prevented everyone from catching COVID-19, but they did save nearly 20 million lives.
That’s according to a study published Friday in The Lancet.
Researchers calculated approximately 19.8 million people would have died had they not been vaccinated.
The study also found that 600,000 COVID-related deaths would have been prevented had countries met the World Health Organization’s goal of getting 40 percent of the country’s population vaccinated by the end of 2021.
