STUDY: Consistency May Be More Important for Workouts Than Duration of Exercise

What’s more important, the length of time you workout or the consistency of you actually working out?

A study finds consistency is more important even if it is for a short period of time. The study finds the shorter periods may actually reap more health benefits than those who do longer, less frequent work outs.

Doing a little bit more frequently is better than going to the gym once per week and staying for hours.

The study said, muscles need to rest to improve their strength and their muscle mass, but muscles appear to be stimulated more frequently.
