Study: COVID-19 More Likely To Be Fatal For Men Than Women
A new study shows that COVID-19 is more deadly for men than for women.
Newly released data from the CDC shows the COVID-19 death rate was 1.6 times higher for men – with 184 deaths to every 100 deaths in women.
It’s even more pronounced in middle-aged patients – death rates among men were nearly twice that of women for ages 45-64.
In total, roughly 65,000 more men than women died of COVID-19 between February 2020 and August 2021.
