Supreme Court To Rule On Student Loan Forgiveness
The Biden administration’s plan to cancel up to $20,000 in student debt for millions of Americans will go before the Supreme Court this week.
On Tuesday, the Court will hear arguments from two legal challenges to Biden’s plan, which would forgive more than $400 billion total.
The Court will also rule on whether or not federal student loan payments must resume – they’ve been paused since 2020 due to the pandemic.
The Court’s decision is expected sometime later this year.
