The Past Week Has Seen Gas Prices Skyrocket In These 10 States
After a brief respite, the past week has seen gas prices climbing again, with some states reporting record highs.
Since last Thursday, some U.S. states have seen increases of as much as 30 cents per gallon, according to AAA.
Ten states have seen per-gallon increases of at least 16 cents over the past seven days, AAA reports. And the problem may only get worse.
“Increasing gas demand and rising oil prices have pushed pump prices higher,” reads a statement released by AAA.
“Pump prices will likely face upward pressure as oil prices remain above $105 per barrel.”
