These Foods Were Untouched By Inflation

Anyone who’s gone grocery shopping in the last year knows that food prices have gone through the roof – but a few items have seen their price unchanged, despite inflation:
- Tomatoes – the price mostly held steady, with just a 1% increase in 2022.
- Strawberries – the average price actually dropped from $2.31 a pint to $2.20.
- Steak – while ground beef prices went up more than 10%, the price of a quality steak fell slightly, by 0.3%.
- Fast Food Items – a few fixed-price classics like $1 McDonald’s soft drinks, $1.50 Costco hot dogs, and 99 cent Arizona iced teas didn’t change their prices in 2022.
