This Group Has The Highest Risk Of COVID-19 Infection

For many Americans, it feels like the COVID-19 pandemic is mostly over – but for one group, the risk is still as high as ever.

People who are immunocompromised are still at a high risk of infection, with even mild strains of COVID posing a major threat.

Some patients have immune systems that won’t allow them to take the vaccine, putting them at even greater risk.

Nearly 8 million Americans – about 3% of the population – fall into the immunocompromised category.
