‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Surpasses ‘Titanic’ As Paramount’s Top-Grossing Domestic Release Ever
Top Gun:Maverick just surpassed Titanic to become Paramount’s highest-grossing movie domestically of all time.
It’s earned $601.9 million at the US box office. Titanic grossed $600.7 million in 1997. Titanic was re-released so the new domestic total is $659.3 million.
Maverick’s global total is $1.19 billion and growing.
Maverick won’t catch the Titanic long term once you account for inflation from 25 years ago.
Top Gun is making 2022 the best year for Paramount since 2014 when they had Scream, The Lost City and Jackass Forever.
