Travel Bookings Are On The Rise As More People Receive Vaccines
People are no longer putting off their vacations as the pandemic starts to be seen in the rearview.
According to those in the travel industry, bookings are up in recent weeks amid lower daily case counts and more does of COVID-19 vaccines given. “It’s just a whole slew of things that is leading everybody to a level of confidence, and that confidence is translating into travel,” reveals Jim Strong, president of Strong Travel Services in Dallas. Montecito Village Travel in Santa Barbara, Calif., also says there’s been a “substantial” increase in business since the start of the year.
Although both admit figures are still much lower than 2019, Strong expects to see normal patterns return by 2023.
