Slugging is coating your face in petrolatum or Vaseline to keep your skin hydrated overnight and is best for those who have really dry skin types.

Dermatologists have approved of this beauty trick especially for those who have eczema. One dermatologist stated “In truth, dermatologists have been ‘slugging’ for years. We just didn’t come up with a cute name for it. I don’t go to bed without it”.

Before you rush to try it, “slugging” isn’t recommended for people who have very oily or acne-prone skin.
