Why Consumers May Feel Relief After November’s Inflation Slowdown

While inflation is still near 40-year highs, there may be some relief for consumers.

According to data released by the Labor Department on Tuesday, November inflation rose much slower than in previous months.

Prices rose at just 0.1 percent for November, down from the 0.4 percent inflation rate in October.

The Consumer Price Index has fallen since June and is expected to continue this trend in winter. A decline in inflation could even out rising prices and finally, give consumers the chance to catch up.
