Ever wonder why UPS trucks are brown?  It’s a story that goes back more than a hundred years.

In 1916, UPS founder Charlie Soderstrom decided to paint company vehicles brown to model them after Pullman railroad cars – which were seen as the height of “style and elegance”.

The brown trucks made their debut in 1919, and drivers would get brown uniforms a few years later.

In 1998, UPS actually trademarked its signature ‘UPS Brown’ color.
