World’s Largest Pizza Yields 68K Slices
To celebrate the return of its Big New Yorker, Pizza Hut has made what it touts as “the world’s largest pizza.”
The pie, which was baked in sections and put together Wednesday at the Los Angeles Convention Center, measures 14,100 square feet, Pizza Hut officials say.
That’s 600 square feet bigger than the former record holder, a 13,500-square-foot pizza made in Italy in 2012. The new record holder was cut into 68,000 slices, the restaurant reports.
Following the endeavor, the massive pizza was distributed to a number of area charities, officials say.
