Average U.S. Gas Price Soars Past $5 Mark
The average price of gas in the U.S. blew past the $5 mark over the weekend, up to a record high of $5.10.
That’s nearly two dollars higher than the price of a gallon of gas one year ago.
The most expensive gas in the nation? San Francisco, at $6.55 per gallon.
The cheapest is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at ‘only’ $4.43 per gallon.
The average price at the pump is $1.97 higher than it was one year ago.
