Good News: A $6,800 Tip, a Sled Saves a Guy’s Life, and World Compliment Day

Here are a few more good news stories making the rounds . . .

1.  A guy calling himself the “COVID Bandit” recently walked into a restaurant in Denver and left a $6,800 tip . . . $200 for each of the 34 employees.  And a guy in New York left five $1,000 tips at five different Chinese restaurants.

2.  A grandmother in Texas needed the vaccine before she could have open-heart surgery, but couldn’t get an appointment.  So she got on the app NextDoor to see if people in her area had any leads.  And a total stranger gave up THEIR appointment to get her vaccinated.  Then ended up going together to explain the situation, and the people in charge decided to give both of them the vaccine.

3.  A snowplow in Washington state got stuck while clearing a road for a guy with COVID who needed to get to a hospital.  So rescuers used a regular old sled to get him to an ambulance a quarter-mile away.  And now two weeks later, he’s back home recovering.

4.  Two women in Connecticut met at work eight years ago . . . bonded over the fact that they were both adopted . . . realized they kind of looked alike . . . and just found out they’re sisters.

5.  And today is World Compliment Day.  So if you want to tell someone how great they are, it’s the perfect day to do it.
