Iowa White Christmas Outlook
“Will we have a white Christmas?” It is one of the big questions asked every holiday season. This was created from historical data from NOAA’S National Climatic Data Center (NCDC).
It reflects the normal chance, or probability, of a white Christmas based on the latest (1991-2020) U.S. Climate Normals from NOAAs National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI).
A white Christmas is defined as having 1 inch or more of snow on the ground Christmas morning. Enjoy these white Christmas probabilities despite there being no white Christmas this year for Central Iowa.
