Job Openings Hit a Record High in March

According to the Labor Department’s Job Opening and Labor Turnover Survey, March was a great month for job openings.
Openings hit a record high of 11.55 million for the month of March, the biggest since December of 2000.
However, there was also a record number of people leaving their jobs in the month, at 4.54 million.
Meanwhile, a shortage of labor from the pandemic has seen the average labor wage increase by 5.6% since March of 2021.
