More “Good News” Stories from the Coronavirus Outbreak – Monday Edition

Here are a few more good news stories from the outbreak . . .

1.  The Red Cross has seen a massive surge in volunteers this year.  Including 78,000 new sign-ups in the U.S. alone.

2.  This is even cooler in a time when kids don’t have much else to do:  A FedEx driver in Indiana saw an 11-year-old kid playing basketball outside his house with an old, rusty hoop that was bent.  So she bought him a brand new hoop, and left it for him as a surprise.  His mom says he cried when he saw it.

3.  A 102-year-old woman in New York has now beaten the virus TWICE.  And a World War Two vet in Alabama has recovered just in time to celebrate his 104th birthday.

4.  The owners of a restaurant in Spain might have enough money to get through the pandemic now, after 400 regular customers paid for food in advance.  All total, it gave them a $50,000 boost in operating cash.
