More “Good News” Stories from the Coronavirus Outbreak – Tuesday Edition

Here’s are a few more good news stories from the outbreak . . .

1.  The pandemic has really made people recognize the value of small businesses . . . and since it started, 80% have intentionally bought something from a small business they would’ve bought from a larger chain before.

And 90% of people plan to do a lot more shopping at small businesses in the future.

2.  Coronavirus IS beatable with the right national response.  New Zealand has officially lifted ALL restrictions after having no new cases for two weeks . . . although they’re still keeping their borders closed.

3.  A guy in England broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest indoor triathlon . . . he had to do it indoors because coronavirus has led to all in-person races being canceled.

He did 2.4 miles on a rowing machine, 112 miles on a stationary bike, and 26.2 miles on a treadmill . . . all in eight hours and 17 minutes.

4.  A 57-year-old woman in Jacksonville, Florida couldn’t see her 66-year-old husband with Alzheimer’s because guests aren’t allowed at his assisted living facility during the pandemic.  So she got a job as a cleaner there so she could spend time with him.
