Park Outdoors: Ford Recalls SUVs Due To Engine Fire Risk
Ford is recalling 350,000 vehicles in three different recalls. The company said Thursday nearly 40,000 of the vehicles should be parked outdoors and away from buildings because the engines can catch fire.
Officials with Ford said they don’t know yet what’s causing the fires in some 2021 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs.
Out of 16 reported fires, 12 happened while the SUV engines were turned off.
The automaker is also recalling hundreds of thousands of heavy-duty trucks because the driver’s airbag may not inflate in a crash and 464 electric Mustang Mach-E SUVs from 2021 with a software problem that can cause unintended acceleration or deceleration.
