Senate Passes 1.9 Trillion COVID Relief Bill
The Senate on early Saturday passed President Biden’s 1.9 Trillion COVID relief bill that puts new stimulus checks in the hands of many Americans along with extended unemployment benefits.
The Senate was in session for 27 hours straight worked to get the bill across the finish line. The bill will deliver another round of $1,400 stimulus checks, extend $300 unemployment benefits and offer more food and rental assistance to struggling Americans.
The bill now heads back to the House for approval, after House approval it will head to President Biden’s desk for his signature.
President Biden is expected to speak later today about the latest COVID relief bill.
