Severe Weather Possible Today Into This Evening

In addition to the wind, active weather resumes this morning with scattered thunderstorms but severe weather is not anticipated with the morning storms.

Additional storm development in the afternoon and evening could result in some severe thunderstorms, mainly between 2-9pm, though this threat is conditional based on the lingering cloud cover and activity from the morning.

The main severe threat this afternoon and evening will be damaging wind gusts, but large hail is possible with the initial storms that form.

Although the tornado risk overall is low, a tornado cannot be ruled out.

In addition, areas that experienced heavy rainfall on Friday will be at an increased risk for flooding with the already saturated soils.
